Well if you are Clairauduent then you would hear it but others may not.. Using a Franks box is not the same it is just random cycling of radio stations for a fraction of a second..These fragment of speech sometime might mean something to the listener..

I dug this up from 8 years ago as I thoughtit was maybe more relevant today as we have so much more technology available to investigators today to eliminate false positives.
EVP captures are far more common now and now we have voice analyisers to rule out the voice pattens of the investigators we have the EVP s that are left.. Some are audible to all at the time.. Typical from Yvette was her 'Did you hear that?' But they commented on audibles, yet some of the best EVPs are not picked up by us at the time. But by reviewing digital recordings of the seabce or investigation or even leaving the device recording when the room is empty..

So why did they give up on trying it on Most Haunted? I know there were a couple of episodes where they tried and Kieran the psychologist says that he found the results 'intriguing', but mainly because the recorder didn't pick up the piano noise that they all heard despite the recorder being close to the piano and the other time where they left Karl in a room with some white noise and a radio and picked up something.

So if it was 'intriguing' then why not keep trying it? Why give it up and go back to running around with the "did you hear that?"

I never understood the lack of locked off cameras either. I know that it's the reviewing and editing that takes work and all those hours get condensed to 45 minutes, but still doesn't it make sense.
