Dead Famous

Post by jamesmcclanahan » 10 Sep 2012 15:58

Hi All,

Anyone remember Dead Famous? For those that don't, it aired on LivingTV usually in between series of Most Haunted. It lasted for 3 series and was hosted by Gail Porter with an American Psychic Chris Fleming.

Each week the duo would investigate a famous American celebrity (Frank Sinatra, Alfred Hitchcock, James Dean... to name a few) and they would choose 3 or more locations linked to the celebrity and investigate their life, death and possible ghost sightings.

It was a great show. They also did a live weekend from the LA Theatre in 2006 but ended when Gail Porter had her issues around that time and hasn't been back since. I would love to see it back. It never seemed to attract as much criticism as Most Haunted did and was a totally different feel and look to MH.

You can find Series 1 & 2 on DVD, 3 & the Live special were never released by I am lucky to have as I recorded them from TV at the time :)

What did everyone else think of it?

Yes, I remember it and I really liked it........I thought Gail was great in it. It made me laugh how she'd say she was a complete sceptic and then she would end up terrified. I liked Chris the psychic too. I recently saw him on the Psychic Kids programme, I think he was one of the presenters on it.

 Well I did see a few of the Dead Famous progs.. about the time Gail shaved her head.. It seems ghostbusting is hazardous to your hair!!! Alopecia is Stress related so hence why certain sceptics like Stu n' Gail lost their locks...
Some of our Chiefs believe the land belongs to them...
But that is not what The Great Spirit told me... He said No one owns the land, that the land belongs to him. We are just keepers of the land, for our children and for their childrens childen.

As we all know Elvis was abducted by aliens.

If they did a UK version of that show it would be really crap.
Old dead soap stars, and Bernard manning. :)
